Leonard in The Big Bang Theory has made the effort to do many things for Penny, who seems to do nothing but argue with him. Among the many things he’s done to help her are: foot the bill for most of her dinners, bravely attempt to get her TV and money back from her ex-boyfriend, took the initiative to fix their relationship, and buy her a new car when she needed it most, while Penny is arguably self-centered and none the wiser.
