What is Pixel Peek?
Pixel Peek is a fun guessing game I invented.
How does Pixel Peek work?
An image is covered up in black, and a few squares show the picture under it. Then you have to guess what the image is of. The answer could be the name of a movie or TV series, or the name of a character from a movie or TV series. In this random game, you’ll get a new picture each time you play or refresh the page.
Ask a parent to help you read the rules at the bottom of the page!
How to play Movie Pixel Peek
You get 5 chances and a variety of hints to guess the image below. Each wrong guess will reveal more parts of the image.
The image could be a movie poster, a character, or a TV series, or a still or screen grab from a movie or TV series. Click the hint button to request a hint. The first hint will always tell you if the answer is a movie or TV series name by telling you if it is a movie or tv series. If the answer is a character name, the hint will tell you it is a character.
Rules:
- Get the name right: If the movie is part of a series, you must enter the exact movie to get the pass the game. Eg “Lord of the Rings” would only be correct if the movie is actually called “Lord of the Rings”. “LoTR” would also be accepted. “Harry Potter” would be wrong as you would need the rest of the title. Case does not matter. Major spelling errors can result in your guess marked incorrect. But
- For TV series, the exact season can be omitted.
- Common in-universe alternate spellings or real world names are accepted, for example, both “Gwen” and “Guinevere” are accepted, and both “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” and “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” are accepted. Also:
- Only English names and titles are accepted.
Tip: “Featured” actors might not be the main character but someone who played a role in the movie or TV show!
