Popcorn Quizzes does not collect any information on their behalf and do not have the means of selling such information to them. Functional cookies:
Quizzes on this site requires cookies to display questions and to remember your answers. Questions and their answers are randomised to avoid repetition, this randomisation relies on cookies. Some quizzes also show a different set of questions each time you load the quiz, this also relies on cookies.
Third Party Cookies:
This website uses Google Adsense and Google Analytics to serve ads and to analyse website traffic. No personally identifying data is collected, however Google may track your general internet browsing habits across the internet on all websites and networks not limited to this site, so you may see ads for things you have browsed or searched for on other sites. This has nothing to do with Popcorn Quizzes.
Completing quizzes and polls:
- Your username, if registered and logged in, else, the name “Guest” is shown in high score leader boards when leaderboards become available
- Your quiz score, your start and end time for taking the quiz, and duration of the quiz is shown in high score leader boards
- Your IP address (for quizzes limited by number of times it can be taken per IP address but is not publicly displayed)
Making Comments
Some pages on this site allows visitors to leave comments and feedback. When visitors leave comments on the site, the following information is collected:
- the message shown in the comments and feedback form (this will be publicly displayed. Do not write anything you do not want publicly posted)
- the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection (not published)
- visitor’s email address (not published unless you use it as your username)
- your username if you are registered and logged in
This site uses Gravatar. An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. If you are a registered user on this site, you can choose to override the profile picture with a different one of your choosing. Registration is not currently open.
Media
Registered users who wish to add quizzes and polls can also upload images subject to size restriction. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). This is because visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, and links to the image source etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. As mentioned above, third party services like Google Adsense and embeddd content may have their own way of collecting data from you that is independent to Popcorn Quizzes. Your data is not shared or sold to anyone except where required by law enforcement.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username) by requesting a deletion. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request have your account deleted. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
All visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
